A fresh development has emerged in the high-profile Ghaziabad murder case as local authorities have reportedly initiated proceedings for possible demolition action against the residence of the main accused, Asad, who was killed in a police encounter on Sunday. Officials have served a notice related to alleged property violations, with further action expected after legal review.
Asad, the prime accused in the murder of 17-year-old student Surya Chauhan, was shot dead during an encounter with police in Ghaziabad's Khoda area after allegedly opening fire on officers while attempting to flee. Police stated that a constable was also injured during the exchange of gunfire.
Hours after the encounter, Asad was buried amid heavy security arrangements. Meanwhile, the victim's family has demanded strict action against all remaining accused and has also called for bulldozer action on properties linked to those involved in the murder case.
The murder of Surya Chauhan sparked widespread outrage in the region, leading to protests and demands for swift justice. Police investigations are continuing, while search operations remain underway for other suspects allegedly connected to the case.
