A fragile calm has returned to the Middle East after Iran and Israel exchanged fresh attacks before signaling that they would refrain from further strikes for the time being. The latest escalation marked one of the most significant breaches of the existing ceasefire arrangements and raised fears of a broader regional conflict.

According to reports, both countries carried out retaliatory operations but subsequently moved toward de-escalation. International leaders and diplomatic channels urged restraint, helping to prevent the situation from spiraling further.

Despite the pause, officials on both sides have indicated that the conflict is not fully resolved. Iran has warned that it could respond again if it perceives new threats, while Israel has maintained that it reserves the right to act in self-defense if necessary.

The temporary halt has also eased concerns in global markets, with oil prices retreating from earlier highs after signs that both countries were stepping back from immediate confrontation.
