Environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk has reiterated that the Climate Justice Protest (CJP) is a people's movement without any political affiliation. Speaking about the ongoing campaign, Wangchuk said the protest is focused on environmental conservation, sustainable development, and the protection of local communities rather than partisan politics.
He appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approach the issue with empathy and sensitivity, stressing that the concerns raised by the protesters deserve meaningful dialogue. Wangchuk maintained that the movement seeks constructive engagement with the government and aims to safeguard the ecological balance and constitutional interests of the region.
His remarks come amid continued discussions over environmental policies and governance, with supporters emphasizing that the movement is centered on public interest and long-term sustainability.
