NVIDIA has expanded its AI-for-science ecosystem by integrating the BioNeMo Agent Toolkit with Anthropic's Claude Science, a new AI workbench designed specifically for researchers. The collaboration allows scientists to use natural language to conduct complex scientific workflows while accessing NVIDIA's accelerated computing tools and domain-specific AI models.
Through the integration, Claude Science can leverage BioNeMo's specialized capabilities for tasks such as protein structure prediction, cheminformatics, genomics, molecular modeling, and drug discovery. NVIDIA says the toolkit packages these capabilities into callable AI skills, enabling researchers to automate complex scientific processes while improving accuracy and efficiency.
The move reflects the growing adoption of AI in life sciences, with NVIDIA stating that more than 50 organizations, including technology companies, pharmaceutical firms, and research institutions, are integrating BioNeMo to accelerate scientific discovery. Anthropic has also launched Claude Science in public beta, giving researchers an AI-powered environment for literature reviews, data analysis, code execution, and scientific collaboration.
