Getting a home loan or car loan may become more challenging for borrowers with lower credit scores in the coming years. While there is currently no universal rule mandating a minimum CIBIL score of 730, many banks and lenders are gradually raising their expectations for creditworthiness. Industry trends indicate that scores above 710–750 are increasingly viewed as favorable for quicker approvals, lower interest rates, and higher loan eligibility.

Financial experts advise borrowers to maintain timely EMI payments, keep credit card utilization low, and avoid multiple loan applications within a short period. Improving a credit score today could help borrowers secure better financing options in the future as lending norms continue to evolve.
