Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) prices in Delhi have been raised by ₹2 per kilogram, bringing the new retail price to ₹83.09 per kg. The latest increase comes amid fluctuations in energy costs and ongoing adjustments in fuel pricing by gas distribution companies.

The price revision is likely to affect private vehicle owners, auto-rickshaw drivers, taxi operators, and commercial transport services that rely heavily on CNG as a cost-effective fuel alternative. While CNG remains cheaper than petrol and diesel for many users, repeated price hikes have raised concerns about increasing transportation expenses and their impact on household budgets.

Industry experts believe fuel price adjustments are influenced by factors such as global energy markets, procurement costs, and operational expenses. Commuters and transport operators will now have to factor the revised rates into their daily expenses as the new prices come into effect.

The hike adds to the broader discussion around fuel affordability and the cost of living, especially in major metropolitan cities where CNG is widely used for public and private transportation.
